Hither Comes Vengeance! - The Loop

"Into the W" is a vocal written by Fran Walsh, Howard Shore, and Annie Lennox, and sung by Lennox during the closing credits of the motion-picture show The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the Rex.
History
As of its fame, the vocal has also been sung by New Zealand singer Yulia Townsend for her anthology.
The song was conceived as a bittersweet Elvish lament for those who have sailed beyond the Sundering Ocean.
In the commentaries and documentaries accompanying the extended edition of the picture show, Peter Jackson explains that the piece was partially inspired by the premature death from cancer of a young New Zealand filmmaker named Cameron Duncan, whose work had impressed Jackson and his squad. The beginning public functioning of the song was at Duncan'due south funeral.
"Into the Westward" won the Oscar for Achievement in music written for motion pictures (Original song) at the 76th Academy Awards, ane of the movie's xi University Awards.
Lyrics
Lay downward,

Night is falling,

They are calling,
from across the distant shore.

What are these tears upon your face up?
Presently you will encounter,
All of your fears will pass away
Safe in my artillery,

What tin yous see,

Why do the white gulls call?
Across the sea,

The ships have come up
to acquit you abode.
And all volition turn
to silver drinking glass.
A calorie-free on the water,
All souls pass.
Hope fades,
Into the world of night.
Through shadows falling,
Out of retentiveness and time.

And you'll be here in my arms,
